LEAP is a Foundation Learning programme designed to support you to achieve qualifications and help you identify and progress into whatever you want to do.
It has three main areas to the curriculum:
- Functional Skills
- Personal and Social Development
- Vocational Development
A key goal whilst on LEAP is to find something positive to work towards that will help you in your future.
When you are ready, you will be supported to find work experience with different employers in the area.
This will help you to develop your skills and confidence and may even turn into a job or an apprenticeship if you do well.
Programme
The first 4-6 weeks of LEAP allow for Initial Assessment and following this, a programme of individually focused qualifications will be written for you. A Training Officer will be there to support you throughout.
Career Progression
LEAP is a brilliant starting point. From this, you could move into an Apprenticeship or onto Further Education courses at Level 2.
You may feel that going straight into employment is the best route for you. Whatever the case we will support you with this.
Entry Requirements
There are no qualification requirements. You must be keen to make progress with your Functional Skills and move into an Apprenticeship, a Further Education course at Level 2, or employment with/without further training.
