Refunds
A seven day ‘cooling off’ period is applicable to all enrolments from the date of enrolment. We are unable to offer refunds after this point other than in exceptional circumstances.
If the course is cancelled or confirmed as already full, you will receive a full refund of fees paid.
Refunds for any other reason will not be given.
Cancellation of courses
Somerset Skills & Learning reserve the right to cancel any course with insufficient learner enrolments, withdraw or amend the details of any advertised course, including the start date or venue or tutor/assessor. If your course is postponed or cancelled you will be given at least 5 days notice and given a full refund.
For reasons beyond our control, sessions may have to be cancelled or discontinued, tutors rearranged, classes re-timetabled or held at different locations. If this happens, we will do our best to notify you of any changes. We may be able to offer you an alternative course or provide a refund of any fees paid for the remaining length of the course.

Safe Learning
Somerset Skills & Learning is committed to providing a learning and working environment which promotes the safety and well being of all its learners and staff. The aim to provide ‘safe learning’ is a holistic one, and includes managing safety in all our venues, the prevention of bullying and harassment and zero tolerance approach to abuse. We are committed to safeguarding our learners and it is our duty to protect vulnerable adults, young people and children from harm.
Disability
We do not wish to exclude any potential learner from attending classes outlined in this directory because of disability or financial hardship. We will not treat learners or potential learners with a disability less favourably for a reason related to their disability and will make reasonable adjustments to enable learners with disabilities to participate fully and effectively.
Most of our programme, where possible, is accessible to learners with disabilities, including people with physical or sensory impairments, dyslexia, medical conditions, and mental health difficulties and learning difficulties. Additional support will be provided at no cost to the learner where this is necessary to enable participation in the learning.
If you have a disability please inform us by recording this on the enrolment form or by contacting us if you require assistance. Any information provided will only be used to support you.
Our Disability Project Workers, who are trained and ready to assist, will where necessary make an assessment of your specific needs of the learner and arrangements to address these.
