You can pay by credit or debit card, cash, cheque or direct debit (conditions apply). Cheques must be payable to Somerset County Council. Cash must NOT be sent in the post
If the cost of the course is over £100.00 and longer than one term, you may pay monthly instalments by direct debit (individually calculated at the time of enrolment). You will be required to pay 25% of the course fee and complete a direct debit mandate, but please remember, if you withdraw before the expected end date all course fees must be paid in full. Please contact us on 0845 688 0488 for payment details.
If you enrol via
CourseFinder you will only receive a payment receipt. It is your responsibility to read
and/or print off the full course information sheet so that you have a
record of the dates, times, venue and any addition requirements.
From 1 June 2012 Somerset Skills & Learning will be unable to accept concessionary enrolments online or over the telephone. If you wish to claim a concessionary rate, you will be required to show an original copy of proof of benefit each time you enrol/re-enrol on a course at a local centre. Please visit your nearest centre where a member of staff will be happy to take your enrolment and payment.
A seven day ‘cooling off’ period is applicable to all enrolments from the date of enrolment. We are unable to offer refunds after this point other than in exceptional circumstances when a charge of £5 will be deducted from any refunds requested by you.
If the course is cancelled or confirmed as already full, you will receive a full refund of fees paid.
Refunds for any other reason will not be given.
Somerset Skills & Learning hopes to be able to run all the courses within the advertised programme. However, for reasons beyond our control, courses may have to be cancelled or discontinued, course tutors re-arranged, classes re-timetabled or held at different locations. If this happens, we will do our best to notify you of any changes. We may be able to offer you alternative courses or provide a refund of any fees paid for the remaining length of the course.
Cancellation of Courses
Somerset Skills & Learning reserve the right to cancel any course with insufficient learner enrolments, withdraw or amend the details of any advertised course, including the start date or venue or tutor/assessor. If your course is postponed or cancelled you will be given at least 5 days notice and given a full refund.
